Dermot has been working with individuals and couples in all forms of stressful situations for the last 18 years. 

With over a decade of work helping people with anxiety and depression. He has worked with several organisations providing community care and support to families and individuals in need or crises, bereavement and loss.


His goal is to provide a safe, comfortable environment that creates a safe place for you, the client, to heal, explore and grow in whatever areas of your life you bring to the

therapy setting.


Dermot works from Oakwood, which is a Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy practise, based in Castletroy Limerick. Dermot is a qualified therapist with a BSc (Hon) Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy with an advanced dip in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. He is qualified in providing online therapy and is certified in couples counselling, and working with Trauma and Grief.


Additionally, Dermot holds a MS.c in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy which involves, play therapy, child psychology and family systems. Dermot is a fully accredited member with Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).  


Dermot also holds a BA (Hon) Degree in Theology and has completed MA classes in Transformational Leadership.
